| About SLIFA Foundation |
|
Founded out of humanitarian
reasons, the SLIFA Foundation (SF), established in 2007, has since been
rendering assistance and aid to the needy. SF offers charitable sporting
goods to children and young adults in the Freetown area and is planning
to extend its operations to the provinces.
Our mission is simple. Help those who need help. SF was founded
with one thing in mind, provide assistance to
youths who need it and help support in improving their athletic abilities
while developing mental skills. Our primary target is Freetown and its
surrounding areas.
We intend to reach youths of all ages with hopes of sensitizing about
the importance of sports in Sierra Leone and to enable them to recognize
their roles and take due responsibilities. We also provide moral
and intellectual support to these youngsters through our youths and
sports programs.
In hopes to promote the success of our goal, we intent provide most of
the sporting equipment and tools needed for our programs in order to
keep participants interested and focus on the big picture. Bottom line
is, we aim to device programs that youths sports development and the
educational/technnical skills needed to prepare our candidates for real
world experience.
SF fully depends on charitable donations and contributions in order to
successfully accomplish its mission. All contributions and donations go
directly to our sponsorship programs and events. SF is 100% staffed by
volunteers who want to see the development of youths and sport progress
in Sierra Leone. Thus, it is our intention to keep administrative
expenses to the minimum while providing quality of service. |
